Kristin Ess Ballerina Bun Using Curling Iron [Video Tutorial]

In this 1:50 second video tutorial, founder Kristin Ess shows you how to get the perfect ballerina bun using a 1-inch curling iron and by back combing your hair to create volume.


  1. Using a 1-inch curling iron, quickly curl hair under.
  2. Flip hair over and gather into a high ponytail securing with an elastic.
  3. Back comb hair to create volume.
  4. Twist hair and wrap around the base creating a bun.
  5. Insert bobby pins along the base of the bun securing it to your head.
  6. Spray with a firm hold hairspray and smooth down fly aways.
  7. Voila, your done, congrats. You did it!
